History of Assaults

Since the onset of the large-scale conflict in Ukraine, a series of Russian military officials have been targeted within Moscow.

This latest event comes after other high-profile incidents, such as:

  • General Yaroslav Moskalik was lost his life in a car bomb attack in Moscow earlier this year.
  • General Igor Kirillov perished in late 2024 when a device hidden on a scooter was set off from a distance.

While a source from Ukraine previously connected Kirillov's death to Ukraine's security service, such assertions are rarely publicly admitted as a matter of policy.

The conflict has witnessed shadowy operations moving into the center of the Russian capital.

The investigation into General Sarvarov's death is still active.
